1.) Everyone has different styles and techniques, blur/lighten isn't a bad technique, but I don't use it.

GIMP really is the pits. It's so limited compared to PS. Trying working with CS2 then switching to GIMP. You'll realize how much it truly does suck.
Square Ninja: Well, the reason behing why african kids want to go to school (besides they want to learn and want to get good jobs) is the reason that they have nothing to do other than school..
Look at them, most of them have no sport, no ps2 etc.
No sport? I'm sure many of them play soccer and basketball.
